Really good food for a very reasonable price, its a fairly small restaurant seems to seat 25-30, the two hostesses were very kind and prompt with their service. I definitely plan on coming back her this week before I head back to the U.S.

Friendly, helpful server- patiently explained all the options. Great prices and fresh yummy dishes. Bring a sweater, a little chilly... But come (and the have no afternoon blackout time- open all through the day)

Great little sushi place. Quiet and not to busy for a quick lunch. I would have given it 5 stars but my spicy tuna was a bit too warm/fishy. It wasn't bad it was just not to my liking. The prices are great and I will go back. It was probably just a one off.

Food is decent, not a big place or romantic with a good view. It's a small restaurant which provides a good food.The owner and people who run the business here are definitely very good people.

Everyone who works here are very lovely people! The sunny roll is to die for. I always get a sunny roll and have just started to get the stanley park roll as well because it is also very good. I highly recommend trying the sunny roll!

This is a real hidden treasure. Tucked away from the busy Lynn Valley Village, you simply must give this place a try. The sushi bento box comes with so much food, and for the price there really isn't anything negative I can say in my years of eating here. Simply delicious!

Good food. I felt that the salmon don bowl was a bit too small and lacked in salmon. The rolls however were big and filling and decently priced. The ambiance was a bit lacking as we sat right by the entrance to kitchen and felt in the way of the waitress. Overall it was a fine experience and I think the prices made the experience a lot more worth it.

I ordered sashimi and it was disappointing to receive such small pieces. Even the order of a side dish of rice was on the smallish size. All this for almost $18 made it overpriced as well. :-(

I've been coming to this place for years and always thought they were the best sushi in Lynn Valley.The menu is pretty large and you'll find all the usual items you'd expect in a Japanese restaurant plus a lot of unique chef's rolls that are all quite tasty.The staff are nice and work hard and efficiently.The dining room is small and doesn't have much atmosphere, but it's fine for a quick lunch or casual dinner.

Always fun times to eat at Yama. Tofu Bento Box is the best for a vegetarian.

North Van local favourite and all-round decent sushi. The cozy atmosphere is lovely for a date. The rolls can be hit or miss so make sure you order a variety! Oh and using the restroom is like something out of a movie... When you go you'll know what I'm talking about.
